Mental Confetti?

The whole shebang of suffering:

  • expectations
  • attachments
  • worry, anxiety, fear
  • blame, shame, guilt
  • erroneous sense of doership

How to deal with those stress-factors?

“Peace of mind in daily living, independent of circumstances”… is not another slogan to get yourself pumped up.
In practical everyday living I struggled with:

  • easily being exhausted
  • distractions
  • getting lost in details and options
  • forgetfulness
  • overwhelm, fear, and all the other human stuff…

Very common, but it is rare to talk about this with someone without pride, guilt or shame.

Mind, your own business

Quite fascinating to learn more about the nature of our mind, and to see where we waste precious mental energy:

“Your mind is for having ideas, not holding them.”

“If you don’t pay appropriate attention to what has your attention, it will take more of your attention than it deserves.”

David Allen

“The belly of the mind is always hungry.”
